Introducing myself!

As more and more of you interact with me, it becomes necessary you know who I am and what I do at Whisk.

I take care of the photography, handle the social media/client queries/day to day operations of the studio/the team, create systems & processes & add automation to make us more productive and efficient, devise our business strategies, growth plans & vision for the future.

Simply put, I, along with Divya, make sure that every cake that goes out of our doors is as perfect as it can be, that we provide unbeatable service to our clients & we grow with time.

About my credentials, I had a 17 year long career in IT & left my job this year only, when Whisk became too big to be handled as a side hustle. It was the right time for me to take the plunge.

Throughout my career, I worked with USA based clients, making multiple trips there for work. We stayed there & we learnt. A lot of what we do at Whisk comes from that experience- being extremely client centric, giving out an exceptional product and taking great pride in our work.

When it comes to art, I have always had a keen interest in all kinds of art forms especially the visual ones. Photography has been a lifelong love & I venture into it as and when I get time 📷

Divya & I have worked for so long, so closely & so extensively on this together that we have become replicas of each other on all aspects of this business except a few. The only core difference is I don`t make cakes and she doesn`t do photography! For the rest of everything, we keep stepping in & out of each other`s roles effortlessly 😅

From moving into probably the biggest customized cake studio in Delhi NCR- to conceptualizing the 360° program- Divya being nominated for the `Cake Maker of the Year` award at Indian Cake Awards and- the announcement of her being one of the Top 10 Cake Artists of India by Cake Masters India, we are having a great run this year 🙏🏻

We`ve slogged way too hard for this & we`re very proud of it.

But there is still 2023 left and you can expect more from us, so keep watching this space🤌🏻

Fun fact: I`m still not holding any official `position` in Whisk. So, technically, I`m jobless 😅

Our entire focus is on the core product (the cake) that will go into your hands and the services around it.

If you have ordered with us or followed our work, you would`ve noticed that we put a lot of emphasis on `trust`. Why? Because trust is the most important factor between the artist and the client 🤝🏻

When we create something that is tailor made for you, a sample for that work might not even exist. At that point, trusting that we`ll deliver what you want is important.

Many times our clients say that they are ordering with us for the first time. We always ask them to do their due diligence (check our daily cakes in the IG stories, see the posts, check our reviews on Google) and then come to us.

Pastel colors? Yes 🩷

The first thing that draws your attention to an object is its color. Colors evoke emotions, set moods and create atmospheres.

So, the colors you use in your artwork are very important.

Among the different colors we see around, pastel colors stand out for their unique ability to bring about a sense of calm, tranquility and gentle elegance.

Pastel colors are softer versions of primary colors obtained by adding white to the original color. With their gentle and understated charm and dreamy vibes, they let you take control of and hold onto the viewer`s attention.

They simply stand out without overwhelming the senses.

That`s why if you observe closely, you`ll find pastels being used a lot in art, fashion, interior design and branding etc.

You`ll see us using them a lot. Just because we love them. Given a choice, we`ll use them all the time 😅
